The initial visit involves completing a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which identifies risk factors that may impact a patient's mental health. Mental illness diagnoses are made based on assessments, and then an effective plan of care is determined using psychotherapy modalities and psychopharmacology for the individual. The treatment plan involves collaborating with other professionals to set a regimen of therapy and prescription medication to improve the person's mental health. As we evaluate progress, we will continue to provide support and education as needed.
